An
Indian bread that is so morish hot or cold.

Goes
well mostly with vegetarian curries.
|

Ingredients |
|
||
500g Plain flour | |||
½ tsp Baking powder | |||
1 pinch of bicarbonate of soda | |||
1 tsp Salt | |||
1 tsp Sugar | |||
2 tbls Yoghurt | |||
Water for binding | |||
Oil for deep frying. | |||
Method | ||
1.

Mix the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, salt, sugar | |
and yoghurt in a bowl. | ||

Adding a little water at a time mix everything together to form soft dough. | |
Take a little oil in the palm of your hand and rub over the surface of the | ||
dough, cover the bowl with a damp cloth and allow to stand for 30 mins. | ||

Divide the dough into small rounds about the size of golf ball. | |
Roll each one out to about 5 inches in diameter. | ||
4.
|
Deep fry until light golden brown, one at a time. | |

Serve with "Classic Chickpeas" |
