An Indian bread that is so morish hot or cold.
 
Goes well mostly with vegetarian curries.
   

 
Ingredients
 
     
  500g Plain flour
  ½ tsp Baking powder
  1 pinch of bicarbonate of soda
  1 tsp Salt
  1 tsp Sugar
  2 tbls Yoghurt
  Water for binding
  Oil for deep frying.

Method
1.
Mix the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, salt, sugar
and yoghurt in a bowl.
2.
Adding a little water at a time mix everything together to form soft dough.
Take a little oil in the palm of your hand and rub over the surface of the
dough, cover the bowl with a damp cloth and allow to stand for 30 mins.
3.
Divide the dough into small rounds about the size of golf ball.
Roll each one out to about 5 inches in diameter.
4.
Deep fry until light golden brown, one at a time.
5.
Serve with "Classic Chickpeas"
