Crab
like you've never tasted, a finger licking good curry,

yes you will get your hands messy eating this tasty dish!

| Ingredients | |||
| 1kg Crabs- cleaned with shells on | |||
| 6 Garlic cloves, minced |

| 1" Ginger, minced | |||
| 2 Green Chillies, slit | |||
| ½ tsp Tamarind pulp or paste | |||
| 1 Tomato, chopped | |||
| 2 Shallots, finely chopped | |||
| 1 Sprig Curry Leaves | |||
| 1 Small dry red chilli | |||
| 1 tsp Garam masala | |||
| ½ tsp Turmeric | |||
| ½ tsp Chilli powder | |||
| Salt to taste | |||
| 1 tbls Vegetable Oil | |||
| 300ml Water | |||
| A small bunch of Coriander leaves | |||

| Method | ||

1.

Heat the oil in a pan; add curry leaves and red chilli. Cook for 30 seconds. | |

Next the ginger and garlic and cook for a 2 minutes. | |
| Now add the chopped onions and cook until soft and transparent. | ||
|
3.

Add green chillies, garam masala, turmeric and salt, stir and cover. | |
| If you are using the tamarind pulp make a paste with some warm water and | ||
| add this to the pan as well, cook for 2 minutes. | ||
|

Add the chopped tomatoes, the uncooked crab and mix well. | |
| Add the water and cook on low heat for 30 minutes, until the crab is cooked. | ||
|
5.
|
Garnish with chopped coriander and serve Hot with rice. | |
